Even If It Does Not Bloom

Habakkuk 3:17–18:

'Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.'

In the Bible, the prophet lists complete devastation:
no figs, no grapes, no harvest, no sheep, no cattle.
In his time, that meant everything was gone.

Not a hard season.
Not a setback.
Total loss.

And yet he says:

“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.”

Habakkuk does not deny reality. He says:
Even if it doesn’t — I will trust.

That’s mature faith.

• health stable
• plans moving forward

Habakkuk says:
Even when God allows loss, He is still my salvation.
